About

Ana Sofia Delgado holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences (University of Aveiro, 2023) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Molecular Biomedicine at the same institution. Her thesis focuses on the characterisation of embryo culture media through Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), aiming to identify potential biomarkers predictive of successful implantation. This work, supervised by Prof. Margarida Fardilha and Prof. Alexandra Nunes, combines advanced spectroscopic techniques with reproductive biology to contribute to the optimisation of assisted reproduction outcomes.

In addition to her academic pathway, Ana Sofia has undertaken coordination roles in student organisations and currently serves within the Academic Association of the University of Aveiro (AAUAv), reflecting her commitment to leadership, representation, and institutional development.
