Holds a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master in Molecular Biomedicine obtained from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. The master thesis was performed in collaboration with the Justus-Liebig-University, Germany.

Doctoral degree in Biomedicine (University of Aveiro and Nova University of Lisbon) performed in collaboration with the Molecular Pharmacology Research Group, University of Wolverhampton, UK.

​

Post-Doctoral researcher in Clinical Medicine at Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde - I3S and Unidade Multidisciplinar de Investigação Biomédica - UMIB (University of Porto, Porto, Portugal) and at Instituto de Biomedicina- iBiMED (University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal).
