Workshop “Application of bioinformatics tools to data analysis in Systems Medicine”
Date: March 7th 2018
Venue: Department of Medical Sciences, University of Aveiro, Portugal
Overview: After the outburst of omics disciplines in biomedical research, the challenge imposes: how to deal with large and heterogenous datasets and how can we find their biological meaning? Fortunately, the number of bioinformatic tools that can help treat and transform these data are growing. In this workshop, we will address the problem of big data and explore some of the most important tools to interpret big data, through systems medicine approaches. The majority of the sessions are in the ‘hands-on’ mode and, thus, a limited number of vacancies are available.
